FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Fire Dragon Maple Receives United States Patent and Federal Trademark Update 1/16/07 - Keith Johansson, owner Metro Maples, received a United States patent for Acer truncatum Fire Dragon® on January 16, 2007. The papent number acquired is PP017,367. "This is a GREAT SHADE TREE that turns a brilliant red each fall, has a superior leaf shape and habit, and is a very adapted tree to the Texas area and all over the USA. This is a special Shantung maple I discovered out of the nine thousand seedlings that I have personally grown", says Keith. Earlier, on April 16, 2006 he received a federal trademark for Fire Dragon®.
